Kwiat American jewelry house was established in 1907: flagship store of the brand is nowadays situated on Madison Avenue in New-York. Kwiat jewelers specialize in creating classic jewelry made of platinum, gold and white gold with white, black and tawny diamonds, blue and colored sapphires, black onyxes, beryl and aquamarines. For the 100th anniversary the house performed Decades Collection, which included jewelry worked out in the style of each decade of the XX century.

Decades Collection included gentle tiara in the form of a diamond ferrule with three round-shaped flowers (symbolizing the Art Nouveau style) and a sautoir inspired by “grand cocktail era of Hollywood” – thick platinum cord crustated with diamonds and rock crystal. For neoclassical epoch of the1940th massive suit brooch in the form of a flower chain made of gold with white diamonds and pink sapphires was performed in Decades Collection. The 1950th were performed by a delicate bracelet made of platinum with white diamonds and blue sapphires – floral ornament distinguished that piece of jewelry. Asymmetric Indian-style earrings were in charge for hippie era and for the 1970th – multi-layered lush flower ring made of yellow gold with white diamonds and orange sapphires. Pull it all together, American jewelers managed to choose stylistic key for each decade. Later on Decades Collection anniversary line was renamed as Kwiat Vintage regular meeting, which is added by new jewels every year.

Kwiat has an unusual position in the modern jewelry world, what is confirmed by Kwiat Vintage. The house, the symbol of which is a diamond tiara, is oriented to the past in new jewelry works – jewelry samples of French state Empire style, French “garland” style, the Art Nouveau and the Art Deco styles. Kwiat jewelry follows the formula – “new old”. Tiaras, bracelets, small hairclips, earrings, pendants, necklaces and rings look vintage, old, aeruginous just like in an antique shop. It may be said that Kwiat avoids its own American young jewelry ancestry, wishing to look like an old elegant French house.
